Sinmoo Hapkido combines a wide range of physical and non-physical techniques to help a person reach their highest potential.

Philosophy

Sinmoo Hapkido rests on a solid philosophical foundation with a primary aim to help an individual bring their mind, body, and spirit together to help bring out the best in everyone.

Concentration

Concentration practices give a person a tool to focus their mind, and quiet the distractions they are exposed to every day. It is the first step to help a person clear the distractions and allow one to live in the present moment with complete awareness and mindfulness.

Ki Breathing

Ki Breathing (similar to Qigong) is a group of exercises to help move the body's energy in a smooth and efficient manner. Taking fresh air and turning it into Ki that the body can utilize to maintain it's vitality.

Martial Arts

Exercise is an imporant part of health, and martial arts training is an excellent method to not only exercise, but also learn a tool to protect yourself. The physical training in Sinmoo Hapkido is a practical form of self-defense that teaches body mechanics, efficient movement, kicking, strikes, joint locks, throws and various weapons. Though it's self-defense is practical and effective, the most important aspect of the physical training in Sinmoo Hapkido is to help a person get into their body and help them connect the three aspects of themselves.
